This policy explains, in plain English, what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”).
1. Who we are
JKS Engineering Private Limited (“JKS”, “we”, “us”) is a company in the Al Ansari Group, based at The Workvilla, Kamala Arcade, Old No. 669, New No. 306, Anna Salai, Thousand Lights, Chennai 600006, India. We decide how your personal data is used, which makes us the “Data Fiduciary” under the DPDP Act.
2. What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us when you contact us, by the contact form, email or phone:
- your name;
- your email address and, if you share it, your phone number;
- your company and the details of your project or enquiry.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Like any website, our hosting provider and the content delivery networks we use to load page styles and icons (jsDelivr and cdnjs) receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type when you load a page. We do not use this to identify you.
3. How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare quotations or proposals;
- to deliver, install and support a project you have engaged us for;
- to keep records we are required to keep by law (for example tax and accounting).
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
4. Why we are allowed to use it
When you contact us, you give us your details voluntarily for a specific purpose: getting a reply. Under the DPDP Act this is a “legitimate use”. Where we need your consent for anything else, we will ask clearly and you can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it.
5. Who we share it with
- Al Ansari Group companies, when they help us deliver your project;
- service providers who work for us, such as email and IT providers, under contracts that require them to protect your data. Messages sent through our contact form are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-to-email service;
- authorities, when the law requires us to.
Some group companies and providers are outside India, including in the Middle East and, for our contact form service, other countries. We only transfer data to countries the Government of India has not restricted under the DPDP Act, and we protect it the same way wherever it is.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or project, and after that only as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it.
7. How we protect it
We use reasonable security safeguards, such as access controls and secure systems, to prevent personal data breaches. If a breach happens, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected people as the DPDP Act requires.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your personal data;
- withdraw consent you have given us;
- nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so;
- raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with our response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children
Our website and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
